Jameson on dice...
back in school and back with my grad school friends - good times all around - so we were playing this game that involved a DVD, a board and dice - my friend was passing me the dice and one fell into a cup of Jameson - so the picture was taken...
being back in DC is quite surreal - i don't know what is really going on, i am in a constant state of movement, life here doesn't seem to slow down or stop - there is always something going on, always something to do - in fact, you have to schedule free time, or alone time or me time...it is amazing - you could spend a whole day not with yourself...i mean you are with yourself, but not really, cause in the end you are being someone for someone else - so in the end, you don't get to be with yourself...wierd isn't it - often, people schedule time for themselves - that i find amusing -who does that? people say, well if i pay for a yoga class, then that is my time - so now you have placed a "monetary value" on your time - amazing, couldn't your time be free? maybe not...then that isn't worth it - right?
so lets change the subject before i enter a circular talk and in the end, end up where i began, with all of you shaking your heads saying - "where is he going with this?" - lets talk about bar conversations - we have all had them - some of them we remember, some of them we don't want to remember, others we just can't remember...when people get a little bit of alcohol in them, they start to talk about the wierdest things. topics come up that would not normally discussed, things get said that would not normally be said and in the end, every one laughs and those that remember the conversation simply shake their heads and say "why were we talking about that again" - then simply dismiss it as a drunken conversation with little to no truth. then there is the topic of conversations that happen per the city you are in - i will speak towards DC, because that is where i am - the bar conversations are highly political and within my circle of friends it is about international development. so when we talk, we talk about things that are happening in the world around us -then we end up getting into highly deep conversations about how we should really change the world, to end the conversation with - "lets have another drink and worry about it tomorrow!" - such is development.
welcome to my life...
till later...
