it is amazing what you see when you walk around. you see people doing everything. from pissing in the field to working hard at doing nothing. it is amazing. at any given point in time, when you walk in india you will see three things without fail: cows, dogs and some guy pissing. it is amazing. you would think, that you would see other things - but no, this is a guarantee...i mean of course you will see cars, bikes, bicycles, vegetable vendors, etc. but, you will ALWAYS see those three things, in addition...
i went for several walks today around Ujjain. it is quite a pleasant town. i feel more comfortable with it this time than the first time i was out here. i feel more like it is my home and not as many people stare at me, which isn't really true, cause a lot of people stare at me. i think it is because i am walking around with a camera slung to my back and often i am wearing clothing that is not typical of people that walk. i know that sounds odd, but i wear nice clothes, and people that usually wear nice clothes drive or ride on scooters, yet i walk. haha! people love it...well, i don't know that for sure, but i love it...
but nothing beats walking around, i enjoy doing in D.C. and i enjoy doing it here in Ujjain. the thing is when you walk around, you feel more at home and comfortable with were you are...i guess it is because you go by everything at a more leirsurely pace...instead of flying by in a car! haha!
